Exclusive: Health secretary in calls with officials in several local counties

The Pennsylvania Health Department is conversing with chose authorities in five districts encompassing Pittsburgh to examine a rising increment in Covid-19 cases, the Business Times has learned.

“In areas that are encountering builds, the office is doing a top to bottom gander at those regions and doing guide effort to the district administration to talk about the information,” Department of Health representative Nate Wardle told the Business Times on Tuesday evening. “This incorporates five calls the secretary has planned today with Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Westmoreland and Washington regions.”

There’s no word on what activities the nearby authorities would take, assuming any. Gov. Tom Wolf, at a news meeting Monday evening, demonstrated that a district by-region and focused on approach was best at this phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.
